I'm Lisa, and I'm a retired mom who fell in love with mahjong. I love everything about the game: the time with girlfriends, the challenge of picking a hand, the sound and beauty of the tiles. I started teaching when a friend required rest time after a surgery and expressed interest in learning the game. After teaching my first group of eight friends, that quickly led to teaching another group and another. This experience awoke something in me: I really enjoyed teaching and wanted to do more of it. As more and more beautiful mahjong products hit the market, it occurred to me that mahjong needed a design space where people could play with the tiles, mats and racks to create their perfect mahjong table. This was the beginning of the RiNo Mahjong Club.
